CHILDREN

NON-PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

Planet Fitness servers collect various non-identifiable pieces of information about site visitors through standard web cookie technology. Included, but not limited to, is visitor browser type, pages visited, visit duration and search engine referrers. See COOKIES section below for more information.

COOKIES

A "cookie" is temporary text data stored by all browsers on your computers hard drive. PlanetFitness.com uses this temporary data in order to customize content for visitors or for authentication. Uses include, but are not limited to:

  • Determine how many visitors the site is receiving, and how many visitors are repeat visitors
  • Store which locations you are inquiring about so that we can provide you with better content
  • Maintain customer order and shopping cart information

PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

Various pieces of personal data is collected by PlanetFitness.com voluntary submission of data through contact inquiries, email contacts, online enrollments, balance payments and any additional form submitted to PlanetFitness.com. This information is used for:

  • Order processing
  • Response to customer service requests
  • Site promotional material and testimonials content
  • Personalize site content
  • When required by law or regulations
  • In accordance with Terms and Conditions found on this site


Personally identifiable data is shared with third party servicers for the sole purpose of customer and member management, completing online orders and web requests. At no time does Planet Fitness sell personal data, for any reason.

E-mail addresses are collected only from those who initiate communications with Planet Fitness through PlanetFitness.com or by stand alone email applications.

MERCHANT SERVICES

In an effort to provide site visitors with safe and secure credit card processing, Planet Fitness uses 128bit encryption of data content and crypto-based storage of credit data. These processing services may be handled by third party vendors.
The personal shopping data provided voluntarily by you is used only to complete the specific product or subscription purchase. Billing requirements will be detailed in order forms, which may include monthly and annual fees.
Purchase and Credit Card information provided by you is transmitted using high level data encryption provided by your browser. If your browser does not support data encryption, purchases will not be permitted over our secure servers. No means of online credit card processing is 100% guaranteed secure and a such, we cannot guarantee the security of your purchase. However, Planet Fitness and our third party servicers use industry standard e-commerce technology in an effort to provide the safest environment possible.
The information practices of sites linked to PlanetFitness.com are not covered by this privacy policy.

SITE SECURITY

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, PlanetFitness.com cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us or from our online products or services, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we use reasonable efforts to ensure that collected personally identifiable information is secure and not readily accessible to unapproved individuals or third parties. PlanetFitness.com has limited the number of people who have physical access to our database servers and has implemented electronic security systems and password protections which help further guard against unauthorized access.

Due to the existing regulatory environment, we cannot ensure that all of your private communications and other personal information will never be disclosed in ways not otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.
