Your safety is our priority

Californians have missed 40 million workouts over the past year due to Planet Fitness clubs being closed. We know that fitness is essential for your physical and mental health. When Planet Fitness re-opens in California, we’ll be following the strictest safety and cleaning guidelines in the nation and have even created the CA Safe Fitness Plan to ensure you can stay active, healthy, and safe in our clubs.

It’s time to re-open ALL indoor fitness centers!

 One Thumb Beats a High-Five
Planet Fitness gyms have 15 foot high ceilings and an air circulation system that fully replaces inside air every hour.

Staying active improves heart health and reduces stress. Three in four (77%) Californians indicate that regular access to indoor fitness centers is important to maintaining and improving physical and mental health.

Two-thirds of California voters support a California Safe Fitness Plan that would allow for immediate re-opening of indoor fitness centers with appropriate safety protocols.

Out of 3.6 million check-ins to California Planet Fitness locations in the few weeks that fitness centers were permitted to be open and in working closely with our members and local health departments in contract tracing, there was zero reported transmission of COVID-19 at our clubs.

Participants were contacted via email, text message to their cell number on the voter file in California, by landline phone, or by cell phone. The survey is subject to a margin of error of ±3.5%.
