Planet Fitness Advances Access to Fitness and Wellbeing through Continued Partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Planet Fitness Partners with Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Planet Fitness is committed to advancing access to fitness and wellbeing by providing welcoming fitness spaces where everyone feels like they belong. Through our ongoing partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, we’re proud to invest more than $80,000 in Hispanic communities this Fall across California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, and Texas by providing 250 free, one-year PF Black Card® memberships to Boys & Girls Club teens, in addition to 10 Club grants for $1,000 each to provide nutritious food options for youth encouraging healthy eating and lifestyles.

In addition, bilingual fitness and wellness resources, such as a “Move More, Eat Better” guide for Boys & Girls Club families and workouts, are available free on the Planet Fitness App.

Breaking down barriers to fitness is critical. Hispanic communities report the lowest rates of physical activity due to a variety of financial, environmental, and social barriers. Inadequate exercise can lead to broader health issues, such as diabetes and heart disease – a leading cause of death that affects 43% of Hispanic women and 52% of Hispanic men*.

Planet Fitness is proud to champion accessible, inclusive fitness for youth year-round through our Judgement Free Generation® philanthropic initiative with Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Since 2016, thanks to the generosity of our members, team members, and franchisees, Planet Fitness has collectively donated more than $9.5 million toward programming that supports the physical, social, and emotional wellbeing of the next generation, including Mini Judgement Free Zones®, community kindness grants, academic scholarships, and more.
