TSG Consumer Partners takes stake in Planet Fitness, adds partners

TSG Consumer Partners hired two operating partners and plans to add more soon. The San Francisco private equity firm also took a majority stake in Planet Fitness, without disclosing the sum invested.

The firm hired Diane Miles, who will be an operating partner working with beauty brands in TSG's portfolio. She was most recently CEO of the firm's portfolio company Perricone MD. Earlier in her career, she was president of Bare Escentuals and CEO of Benefit Cosmetics, part of the LVMH portfolio.
