Refer a Friend
As a participant in Planet Fitness’ Refer-a-Friend Program (“Referrer” or “you”), you are subject to Planet Fitness’ Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, as well as the following additional Terms & Conditions:
Eligibility. Eligibility is limited to active Planet Fitness members only. Planet Fitness employees and Planet Fitness members with prepaid memberships do not qualify for the Refer-a-Friend Program. Valid only in participating locations in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.
Successful Referral. A Successful Referral is defined as the sale of a new Planet Fitness membership to a person (a “Referred Customer”) who arrived at our website by clicking on your unique Refer-a-Friend Program link. You will receive a credit of one (1) month of membership fees for each Successful Referral completed, up to a maximum of three (3) total months of membership fees per calendar year ("Fee Credits”). Successful Referral count will reset at the beginning of each calendar year. Any Fee Credits you earn under this program will be automatically credited against upcoming monthly membership fees due under your active Planet Fitness membership (and will not count against any past-due amounts or your annual membership fee). Fee Credits may be credited against only your current active membership at your current club (i.e., the credits cannot be transferred if you transfer your membership to another club). Fee credits have no cash value and cannot be redeemed in any other manner. Any earned Fee Credits during a freeze period of your membership will be immediately applied or applied at the next available billing cycle once you unfreeze your account. Frozen accounts may retain Fee Credits until the end of each calendar year. Accounts that remain frozen into the new calendar year will forfeit any earned Fee Credits. If you cancel your membership, you will lose any Fee Credits and will not be able to apply them to any future billing statements, even if you rejoin.
Compliance with Law. As a Referrer, you agree to comply with all laws, including, but not limited to the CAN-SPAM Act and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation. Any distribution of your unique referral link that could constitute unsolicited commercial email or “spam” under any applicable law or regulation is expressly prohibited and will be grounds exclusion from Planet Fitness’s Refer-a-Friend Program. Planet Fitness reserves the right to discontinue access to the Refer-a-Friend Program to any person who uses the program in a questionable manner, breaches any of these Terms & Conditions or violates any law or regulation.
Right to Cancel Program or Change Terms. Planet Fitness reserves the right to cancel the Refer-a-Friend Program or to change these Terms & Conditions at any time in its sole discretion.
