All summer long, we’ll have a High School Summer Pass™ leaderboard keeping track of the number of sign ups from each school. At the end of the summer, the top 10 schools on the leaderboard will each receive a $10,000 grant*! What is Planet Fitness’ High School Summer Pass™?
High School Summer Pass™ is Planet Fitness’ free summer membership that welcomes high school teens ages 14-19 to work out at any of its more than 2,400 locations throughout the United States and Canada!
When exactly can High School Summer Pass™ participants work out at Planet Fitness?
Participants can work out for FREE at participating Planet Fitness locations (U.S., excluding Puerto Rico, and Canada only) starting Monday, May 15 through Thursday, August 31. Participants must work out at the location they sign up at and are not permitted to use other locations.
How can I sign up?
Starting May 1, participants can sign up one of two ways:
Sign up online at Free Summer Gym Membership for Teens | Planet Fitness. Participants under 18 or the age of majority in the applicable jurisdiction must have a parent/guardian sign the electronic waiver
Sign up in-club. Participants under 18 or the age of majority in the applicable jurisdiction must have a parent/guardian present to sign the waiver
For participants under 18 or the age of majority in the applicable jurisdiction, once the waiver is signed, they can work out alone. Participants who are already 18 or the age of majority in the applicable jurisdiction do not need a parent or guardian to sign up. Individuals who are 14 to 19 years old are eligible to participate.
If I participated in High School Summer Pass™ last year, do I need to register again this year to participate and access my Planet Fitness club?
Yes. All participants (new or returning) must go through the sign up process for 2023.Yes, to participate in High School Summer Pass™ for 2023 you need to register even if you participated in a previous year. Click here to register now!
Are there any time restrictions that limit the time of day that High School Summer Pass™ participants can access their Planet Fitness club?
No, there are no time restrictions for High School Summer Pass™ participants. You can workout any time that your home club is open!
Does Planet Fitness offer fitness classes?
Yes, participants will have access to the free fitness classes offered through the Planet Fitness PE@PF program (participating locations only - see club for details). You can view your club’s class schedule and sign up for classes directly through the free Planet Fitness Mobile App or by visiting your local club. The free PF App also features a variety of workouts that are categorized by fitness level and will help you focus on your personal goals. To download the free Planet Fitness Mobile App, click here.
Are all teens eligible?
Participants must be ages 14-19 to take part in the program.

Are there any incentives to participate?
New to the High School Summer Pass program this year, we will have a leaderboard keeping track of the number of sign ups from each school.
